#reverb12 Day 5: What was your dream destination?

What was your dream destination in 2012 and why?

It can be a town, city, country or region -- real or imaginary -- and doesn't matter if you actually got there or not!

If you're joining us for the first time, everything you need to know about #reverb12 (including a list of daily prompts, as they are published) can be found here and here. We're also using the hashtag #reverb12 on twitter and instagram.

We are so very glad that you're here!

  1. My dream destination was a return to Thailand in July just gone, with OH and toddler. Actually got as far as arranging rough dates with friends in UK, and OH was going to book plane tickets next day...in the event I had to call him at work and say he should hang fire momentarily while I do a little test - pregnant!! Had been trying but we'd decided to take a break, take the pressure off and go do a bit of backpacking again. Must confess pretty gutted to miss out on our trip but goes without saying that we were over the moon to be expecting again - and we are already plotting our trip again for before this gorgeous one born just 12 days ago turns 2 :)

  4. Many apologies for lagging behind in my participation - I am about to stick a note on the laptop to remind me to do it in this evening's post! Of course my dream destination this year was Australia and Singapore ..... and I'm already saving up for another trip!!

  5. My dream destination for 2012 was the Windy City - Chicago. I had heard from so many people that it is their favourite city in the USA, ahead of fabulous New York. I was told that the architecture was marvellous and the skyline of the city stunning. We managed to cram it into our US trip schedule to discover that it is all true and we were fortunate enough to do the annual Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation walking tour of selected beautiful homes in Oak Park, a truly stunning suburb of Chicago. Along with the other fabulous places on our itinerary (New York, New Orleans and the Hamptons), it was probably the best holiday we have had.

  6. My dream destination was somewhere I have dreamt about for nearly 30 years. It's such a big story I've blogged about it http://planettreasures.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/reverb12-my-dream-destination-quite.html

I also have some other dreams - Venice, the silk road, Japan....

  8. Kat - Have you ever thought of using a linkytool at the bottom of each post? We would then each link our specific blog post to your post each time that we post. Since not everyone is playing along every day it would make visiting everyone a little easier. I just wanted to suggest it.

    1. Thanks for the great suggestion, Lori. I hadn't actually thought of that, but that probably won't surprise you as I am no techno genius! :)
I think I will stay with the comments format this time around but will certainly keep the linky idea in mind for next year's #reverb.
      Really appreciate your support. xxx
