Reverb14 Day 3: loving what is

I’ve been sharing my gratitude for a while in this space, a practice I call savouring. This year, I finally started a Gratitude Journal. I don’t fill it in every day but make a point of doing it when I’ve had a lousy day.

I find that once I get started, the list of things I’m grateful for runs off the page. And then suddenly a lousy day doesn’t feel like an unimitigated disaster.

It’s all too easy to put off loving where we are until everything is perfect. What can you love about where you are now?

You are warmly invited to share your response in the linky below. Be sure to check out the other amazing responses while you're there! (Trust me, this is how the magic happens.)

This prompt is part of the Reverb14 reflective writing challenge. The full set of prompts can be viewed here once they are published.

Sign up to receive prompts via email and share your responses in the daily linky by 9pm AEST on Sunday 7 December to be in the running to win one of two copies of the second issue of Mabel magazine. Yum!

  1. I love the word "savouring". I need to savour life more and I'm working on that. Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day minutiae we forget to stop and just breathe in the air. A gratitude journal is such a great idea and to not feel pressured to write in it every day - I think that is a great thing too. :)
